(1) Platform welding manipulator

When the factory is welding, the welder can be placed on the platform and can be moved through the platform. We can mount the platform on the riser so that it can rise and fall along the riser track. The stand sits on the car and can also run along the track. Under normal circumstances, the operation range of the welding manipulator is large, the main application field is mainly to complete the welding of the outer ring seam and outer longitudinal seam. The platform welding manipulator can be divided into a monorail trolley and a double rail trolley. The other track of the monorail trolley is generally set on the column of the workshop during manufacturing. When the bridge crane in the workshop is moving, it is often easy to cause mild vibration of the platform, which affects the normal and accurate conduct of the whole welding process. The maneuverability, use range, and use of the platform welding manipulator is inferior to the telescopic boom welding manipulator, and the application of the platform welding manipulator has begun to decrease year by year in many countries.

(2) Telescopic boom welding manipulator

Usually, the welding head or welding trolley will be installed at the end of the telescopic arm of the welding manipulator, and the telescopic arm is installed on the sliding saddle, which can be extended and extended along with the sliding saddle. When installing the saddle, we will generally install it on the column, and it can be raised and lowered along the column. There are many forms of column installation, some are directly fixed on the base, some are installed on the base, but with rotary function; Some columns can also be installed on the trolley by using the base, and the trolley can run along the track. This welding manipulator has good mobility and a large operating range. It is highly applicable to all kinds of welding equipment, and it is used for internal and external circular joints, internal and external longitudinal joints, spiral welds, and the internal appearance of the rotating body welding parts. When surfacing, you can also weld the transverse welds, oblique welds, and other spatial lines on the welded components. Telescopic boom welding manipulator has been developed into one of the most widely used welding manipulators at home and abroad. It is not only used for conventional welding of large equipment but also equipped with the corresponding operating head at the front end of the telescopic boom. It can also be used for repairing, cutting, painting, flaw detection, and other operations. It is very widely used.

In order to enlarge the working space of welding robots, many countries install welding robots at the front end of the telescopic arm of the heavy manipulator, which is used to weld workpieces of large structures. (3) Portal welding manipulator

The manipulator comes in two configurations. One is that the welding car is located on the working table that can be lifted and lowered along with the door frame, and moves horizontally along the track on the platform. The other is that the welding head is installed on a lifting device, which is located on the sports car, and the sports car moves along the track on the beam. The door frames of these two manipulators generally span the workshop and move longitudinally along the rails. The manipulators cover a large area of work and are mainly used for large-area splicing of plates and welding of large-area metal structures and circular joints outside the cylinder.

In order to enlarge the working space of the welding robot, meet the needs of welding large-scale welds or improve the utilization rate of the equipment, the welding robot can also be inverted on the door type operator. Some gantry is fixed, and some gantry is mobile. Among them, the robot body can move horizontally along the gantry, and some can move up and down and longitudinally.
